Three Cheers for "Sally Ann's": the kind ladies brightened my pre-teen years with cascades of costume "jewels" --and a pair of open-toed green suede "strappys" with high skinny heels and tiny gold buckles at the ankles!

I loved hearing about your costume box, Lynn. Ever since our first son was born, I've kept a trunk full of costumes (as well as an old suitcase). Both the boys have loved putting together costumes over the years. Now, sadly, they are both so big most of the old bits and pieces have been outgrown, and the only costumes in there are mine!
