Lynn's Comments: Nobody seemed to notice the mess but me. Maybe that's because the messes were tidied up so fast. Maybe it's because I gave up nagging and just closed the doors to rooms that smelled of moist hockey gear and lunch scraps. People who share their home with a responsible matron soon learn that things eventually get washed, fixed, cleaned and organized...you just have to wait long enough. Oh, you might hear something or see a pair of shorts take flight, but patience has its rewards.
What shocks the socks off me now is seeing my offspring's dwelling spaces and.... they're clean! Their quarters are tidy enough to pass a health inspection and I don't know when it happened. When did they start to notice laundry and dust and grime and clutter...and why did it take so long??? Did the discovery of dirt kick in with maturity? I don't know - but after all those years of picking up after them, I'm taking the credit. All of it.
