We were out of town for a week, and stopped our paper for that time, just as Farley went into the hospital. I had to board our two cats with the vet at the same time, and I was concerned to see how Farley would come out.
I didn't know if you would use that to deal with how kids cope with a pet's death, or not. Either way, it's traumatic.
Even though my cats were with the vet, I knew they'd be in good hands if either got sick, and the vet had my cell number, it was great to get over there this morning and bring them home. They're also glad to be looking out the window and watching the squirrels and birds.
