Lynn's Notes:

Neither of my husbands liked to cook. They could make peanut butter sandwiches, barbecue a steak, or make pancakes (a serious effort), but to expect them to create an entire meal was a lot to ask. I decided to teach my son the art of cooking but he took to this with the same amount of enthusiasm he had for cleaning his room. So, as an adult now, he goes out to eat. The positive side to this is -- he knows some great restaurants in Vancouver!

It's funny since my dad is actually the cook in our family. My mom can make spaghetti and... um, spaghetti. I think I take after my dad - I don't have a whole lot of recipes for meals, but I'm really dang good at baking so yeah.

My father could cook, he just had his own ideas. When Mom went in to have my brother she left "cans" for various meals--a weeks worth. They all went in one pot, veggies, ravioli, whatever else. We ate it for a week, lunch and dinner. We named it Numgoo. It was orangish and lumpy.
The rest of us have no food issues, (who could?), my youngest brother will not allow his foods to touch each other. He did not have to live through what we did!
