Lynn's Notes:

I loved make up when I was a kid -- I still do. I had a friend whose mom worked for Avon. She gave us all her old samples -- the best gift ever! When my daughter Katie came along I started to keep all of the make-up I didn't use so she and her friends could play with it. Interestingly, Katie had little interest in such things and preferred to putter about with her dad in his workshop!

I was moved to comment on this strip because of the unexpected dark humor in the punchline -- which I probably never noticed, the first time I saw this. (I'm a long-time FBorFW reader, with daughters Elizabeth's age and April's age.) When I read Lynn's own comment, I had to laugh, since it was so conventional: no dark humor here whatsoever!

Obviously, we all see just what we want to see.
