Lynn's Comments: Alan did have a fish tank and Aaron wanted one as well. I allowed him to have a goldfish for a while...kind of a "Starter" pet. The fish lasted about a week before it died from over stimulation. I think it must have been glad to go.

Lynn's Comments: It took days to sort through everything. Behind every stack of familiar flotsam was stuff we never knew she had. Parting with some of it was going to be hard. We had several family meetings to determine the fate of Ruth and Tom's collection.

Lynn's Comments: The fish Aaron caught with my dad were not great eating, and Aaron was very disappointed when Mom dug them into the garden. For the next fishing trip, Mom and Dad were prepared. When the men came home with fish for the table, Aaron believed he was chowing down on his catch. Sometimes a white lie comes in the form of frozen fillets.

Lynn's Comments: Actually, Aaron took a bite of the fish, and after seeing his expression, Mom made him a hot dog.

Lynn's Comments: If you can come up with a strip that has no words, it’s a real plus. With the right subject, the right imagery, facial expressions and timing, a joke with no words is as much fun for the artist to work through as it is for the reader. Strips with no dialogue need no translation and can be published anywhere. This style of comic strip is not easy to do. Artists who consistently produce wordless, beautifully constructed comic strips have always had my sincere admiration. Canada’s Doug Wright was one of these.
