Lynn's Comments: In a way, Elly's dilemma about not having gone to university was my mother's story. She always regretted not having had a university education, and by the time we were older and she had the time to do so, she thought it was too late.
Lynn's Comments: I once went into a furniture store looking for a couch. They were short staffed and I could see they needed help. I loved their store and knew the inventory and volunteered to help. At the end of the day, they offered me a job. I was already employed, but I sure liked the idea of being able to show what I could do before I applied!
Lynn's Comments: I think we have all felt, from time to time, that someone out there is looking out for us!
Lynn's Comments: Yup. The buck stops at the front desk. There was a reason my dad never wanted me to handle the cash. I was much better at sales!
Lynn's Comments: When both my folks were working, it was my job to go home and put on supper. This is right from my childhood.
